Is BioRaptor a LIMS or an ELN?

Can BioRaptor integrate with my existing data infrastructure?

Yes, BioRaptor easily integrates with existing systems such as LIMS, SCADA, historians, cloud services, and third-party analytical tools to streamline data workflows.

How does BioRaptor get data from my devices and instruments?

BioRaptor securely connects to your existing bioprocess equipment via encrypted data transmission channels, such as secure VPN tunnels or cloud gateways, ensuring seamless data ingestion from instruments and devices directly into our cloud infrastructure. This allows secure, real-time integration without compromising your organization's network security or data integrity.

How secure is my data on BioRaptor?

Do you own  my data? Will you use my data to train your models?

Your data is only yours and always yours. We don’t use your data to train anyone else's models. We keep a strong segregation between customers' data. Not even our engineers or customer success team can see it (unless you allow them to). We make sure that’s the case contractually.

What if we already have our own cloud infrastructure set up?

If you already have your own cloud instance, we’ll pull the data from your end to create a process to synchronize it with the BioRaptor database.

What are the benefits of using BioRaptor instead of building our own infrastructure?

While building your own infrastructure from scratch might seem like a good idea in the beginning, it quickly becomes a very long and expensive project taking focus away from the science. 

Developers are not scientists and scientists are not developers. We find that a lot of problems stem from this misalignment. The in-house systems are hard to manage, depend largely on the people who built it, and if they leave, so does the knowledge of how to manage the infrastructure. It’s hard to add additional devices, and it’s hard to maintain security and usability. And lastly - it’s guaranteed that the project will take longer than you thought and will cost you more than you budgeted for. 

We offer a flexible and customizable system that you can adapt to your needs and specific use cases. We work with you on top of our system, so you don;t have to build from scratch and don’t have to worry about security and maintenance.
